As in other states, Colorado phlebotomy classes consist of two parts: classroom instruction and lab/clinical part where you practice.
What is great about a wide range of programs to choose from is that you can opt for evening and Saturday classes, which allows combining a course with a full-time job.
Academic pre-requisites are pretty easy to fulfill – you only need a high-school diploma or GED and be 18 years of age or more.
However, school-specific requirements can be quite extensive, depending on the school.
For example, you may be required to undergo a drug screen, which includes marijuana. Background check is also pretty standard these days.
While some schools include CPR/First Aid in their curriculum, others may require you to have a valid CPR card before instruction begins.
